As a product-led business, you have an unfair advantage over competitors as you have unlimited access to a dominant growth engine and significantly lower CACs. But, it takes an entire team to make the strategy work.
This week, we’ll go over:
Wes Bush:
Contrary to popular belief, when it comes to building a product at an organization, this does not mean you give your product team the reins to run the entire business their way because we're product led, or you fire your entire sales team because the product now sells itself. Not at all. I want to bust that myth for you. What really it means to be product led is taking the entire organization to make the strategy work with definitely leveraging the product to help get there, but it takes the entire team to make this strategy work. And every single team has an important part. So that's what we're going to dig in today is how do teams work differently in a product led business? So let's go through this. It's going to take about five minutes.
Wes Bush:
While I'm going through each of these teams, I want you to write down what are some of the reasons or ways you see your teams working differently as you make this transition from sales led to product led. Because I'm not going to cover all of them. But I'm definitely going to get you thinking about what might be some of those main differences. So bear with me as we go through it.
Wes Bush:
The first one is really let's just go through these four teams. I know you might be thinking to yourself, "Wes, that's not all the teams I have on my business." But that's okay. These are four of the main teams you will most likely have in your business. There can be more. But this will cover the 80/20 version of it so we're not here forever today.
