Who we are

ProductLed is Product-Led Inc., a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. This page covers productled.com, the ProductLed Assessment at assess.productled.com, our books and our emails.

What we collect

• What you give us. Your email, and sometimes your name, when you run the assessment, buy a book, join the newsletter or sign up for an event. Anything you write to us.
• The website you submit. The assessment reads the public pages of the site you give it: its text, its links and screenshots of it. That is information about a company, and it is already public.
• Payments. Stripe takes your card. We see the amount, the product and your email, never your full card number.
• What your browser tells us. The pages you view, the site that sent you, your device and browser, and a rough location from your IP address. Cookies and similar tools collect this, and they are listed under Cookies below.

How we use it

To run the assessment and send you the report. To deliver what you bought. To send the emails you signed up for, each with an unsubscribe link. To see which pages help people and fix the ones that don't. To show our ads to people who have visited the site. To keep ProductLed secure and stop abuse.

The assessment uses AI models from Anthropic to read the pages and write the report. Anthropic processes that content only to do this job, and under its commercial terms it does not train its models on it.

We may publish statistics drawn from many assessments. They never name you.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your information. We share it with the companies that run parts of ProductLed for us, only for that job, and with a partner when you sign up for an event we run together.

Partner events. Some of our webinars and workshops are co-hosted with another company, and we promote them together. When you sign up for one, we share your name, email and sign-up answers with that partner, and the event page names who they are. They use it under their own privacy policy.

We also disclose information when the law requires it, when someone's safety depends on it, or if ProductLed is sold or merged. In that last case this policy goes with it.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a site keeps in your browser. Depending on where you are, a banner asks which kinds you allow when you first visit. You can change that choice any time.

You can also block or clear cookies in your browser's settings, or opt out of ads network by network: Google, Meta, LinkedIn, or every member of the Network Advertising Initiative at once.

Where it's kept, and for how long

Our providers store it, mostly in the United States. We keep it while you are a customer or subscriber, and assessment reports stay up so your link keeps working. Ask and we will delete it, unless the law makes us keep a record, such as an invoice.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and withdraw consent for anything you agreed to. Email hello@productled.com and we will reply within 30 days. Wherever you live, you get the same answer.

If you are unhappy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or to the data protection authority where you live.
