About This Course

Communicating your value clearly and simply is the core of a successful product-led growth strategy. That’s where the conversational bumpers from the Bowling Alley Framework come in.
In this course, you will:

  • Know the conversational bumpers you need to help users not just understand the immediate value of your product, but to continue using it
  • Be able to identify common mistakes when it comes to onboarding emails, in-app messages, customer success outreach, and other conversational bumpers
  • Create and start implementing a plan to improve your product’s conversational bumpers

Ramli John:
So this is the steps to building a Straight-Line Onboarding email strategy. Three steps, segment your emails by your customer job. Second, create behavior-based email flow. Third, fill in the details for each email. And I provided some more templates in that worksheet that's available in the learning portal now. But like I said, this can apply to any types of communication. If somebody doesn't do something and you want to send them a direct mail or SMS, whatever type of channel, this can apply to make sure it is behavior focused.

Ramli John:
So just to recap. Now, we've covered the whole Straight-Line Onboarding. We've talked about the minimum steps. We've talked about Product Bumpers last week. Today we talked about Conversational Bumpers. That's it for now. This week's challenge that I have for you is first fill out the Educate Your Users worksheet in the learning portal. This will be the last one, next week we don't have a worksheet. I just want to make sure you're catching up with all the stuff. Second, you want to share this with your onboard team and get feedback from them. And the third, you want to sign up for at least three products this week, share Conversational Bumpers you like in the Slack group and create a swipe file.
