We’re looking for awesome new team members (Growth Director, Content Promotion Specialist + Course Manager) 🚀

Five years ago we started ProductLed with a simple question: why can't you try most software products before you buy them?

In the software industry, there has been little to no innovation around the fundamental way software is bought and sold.

A typical buying experience takes a long time.

It's not uncommon to hop on several demo calls, send contracts back and forth before you "get to purchase" the product all without using the software at all.

Scary, right?

We believe this model is fundamentally broken.

It worked back in the day when there were limited software options and the sellers had all the leverage.

They could make the buyer jump through hoops during the sales process to make large purchasing decisions without ever using the software.

But, today, that market no longer exists.

For every category in software, there are thousands of options.

The tables have turned.

It used to be okay to sell before serving your users.

Now, you must serve before you sell.

Product-Led Growth is how you make this new approach to doing business possible.

At ProductLed, we're arming the rebels with everything they need to build a successful product-led business.

And that’s where you come in.

We're on the hunt for the following positions to help us grow the product-led movement and help millions of businesses become product-led.

Growth Director

There are many aspects of growth, and while it’s tempting to look for someone who can do-it-all, we’re looking for the right T-shaped growth leader for this position.

Our ideal Growth Director has a proven track record of building up massive demand through organic search and community-led initiatives. We’re the leader in product-led growth and we plan to grow 300%+ YOY. We don’t expect you to do it all on your own. We’re looking for a leader who will build out their own kickass team.

Here are some of the things you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading and managing the Growth team (3 FTEs, 3 contractors, and 3 shared resources) on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for defining growth strategies, coordinating and executing growth plans, and optimizing pipeline to meet revenue targets.
  • Maintaining a clear understanding of what is most valuable to our community and customers.
  • Ensuring the marketing and sales team efforts achieve the company’s business goals.
  • Developing the tools and processes needed to measure ROI across all marketing initiatives.
  • Defining, driving, and measuring monthly KPIs across various marketing methods/channels.
  • Creating and monitoring a wide variety of email marketing campaigns.
  • Responsible for analyzing customer growth, acquisition, and activation.

We’re looking for a leader who doesn’t need to be told what to do. We expect you to tell us what needs your time and attention and what can wait.

Why you should be excited about this role

  • We’re a small team of 8 and you’ll be our first Growth Director. You’ll have a significant impact on the business and our growth trajectory.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to build out your growth team, as well as work with great agencies and freelancers where appropriate.
  • You'll be directly responsible for helping thousands of businesses make a massive transition in the way they sell their product.
  • You'll be a part of our core leadership team.
  • We’ve got one of the largest and most active product-led communities that you can leverage in your growth engine.
  • You’ll work with a team who understands growth. I might be a little biased here, but I have a lot of appreciation for growth after doing it for 6+ years and literally writing the book on Product-Led Growth. You won’t have to fight for a seat at the table.
  • We’re a tight-knit, passionate team and you’ll be working closely with everyone in the company. You’ll be able to influence all areas of the business.
  • We’ve been a remote company before COVID, and put a lot of effort into staying connected despite the distance.
  • You'll have the freedom to bring ideas, and strategies, and you'll be be free to implement them.
  • You'll have the opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing company and grow with it.

This position is the perfect fit if...

You’re a Great Leader.
Built on integrity and honesty, you build the best teams. You’re someone the whole team looks up to as a leader and coach. You are willing to engage on a personal level, and you put your heart into your work, uplifting those around you.

You Have a Learning and Growth Mindset.
You won’t be expected to know everything from the start, but you’ll need to be motivated and quick to learn new information. You have the ability to acknowledge that everything can always be improved and that you can approach each challenge with a positive 'can-do' attitude.

You’re Dependable and Accountable.
You not only show up for work every day but you're also consistent and provide results. You are an essential team player, always looking out for what’s best and correcting mistakes even when no one would notice. You're proud of your work.

This might not be a good fit...

  • Small teams scare you. While we’re a profitable customer-funded business, we don’t have all teams and processes established yet – so if you’re expecting everything to be humming along smoothly, this won’t be fun initially. (We’re working on it though.)
  • Change is scary. We’re a very fast-moving bunch which means priorities and initiatives can change quickly. If you’re not used to fast-paced environments, this won’t be the right fit.
  • Owning a number is scary. Our Growth Director will own a revenue number. You'll know whether you're on or off track very quickly.
  • You aren't resourceful. We’re serving thousands of small businesses and startups around the world. If you come from the Enterprise world where you can spend virtually any amount to acquire a single customer, you’ll find yourself in a rather different environment here.

To Recap:

  • Native English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a Director of Growth and/or Sales or Marketing Director role.
  • Experience working in or with SaaS/tech companies.
  • Experience in leading and managing a Marketing and Sales team.
  • Extensive experience leading and developing teams in a high-growth environment.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful email marketing and organic growth strategies.
  • Proven experience tracking analytics and exceeding sales KPIs.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly.
  • Confident decision-maker.
